Devonshire House Preparatory School Expands Support with Full-Time English as an Additional Language Programme

This initiative ensures that pupils arriving with little or no English can thrive both academically and socially in one of the best schools in North London.

The programme is led by an experienced, full-time EAL specialist who delivers daily lessons during the school day. Teaching is tailored to each child, whether delivered one-to-one or in small groups, and supported by Flash Academy, a highly engaging language-learning platform offering resources in 48 different home languages. This allows pupils to progress rapidly while settling confidently into life at Devonshire House School.

The course supports both absolute beginners and improvers, ensuring that all learners can benefit, including pupils who would like to join our School in Year 7 at 11+, and need more time to prepare their 13+ Common Entrance Exams.
